Greg Bradt
has been a professional photographer in Denver for more than 20 years.
Greg pursued his craft part-time for many years while employed as an Aerospace Software Engineer for Martin-Marietta and Lockheed-Martin Astronautics. (When Greg says "Photography isn't Rocket Science", he knows... he worked on the Atlas V program for 5 years.) He finally got tired of anticipating the next round of layoffs, and incorporated as a full-time, full-service photography studio in January of 2000. (So, why not "Millennium" PhotoGraphics? See below.)
With the technology of photography becoming progressively more digital, Greg's
computer talents made for a natural transition. His skill with Adobe
Photoshop, as well as various other digital imaging tools, is among the best in
the Denver metro area.
Greg serves as official photographer at a number of local, regional and national conventions,
and he is a
charter member of and frequent photographer for the International Costumers' Guild.
He and his trademark Fedora have become well known in Denver at MileHiCon, StarCon and
StarFest, and nationally at CostumeCon and the World Science Fiction Convention
(WorldCon) where he has served as both Official and Support Photographer
numerous times.
So, why did he choose the name "Lensman PhotoGraphics?" The photography reference may be obvious, but there's a more subtle reason, as well. Greg is a life-long science fiction fan (as is reflected in his Fantasy Art project), and the Lensman Series by E.E. "Doc" Smith is widely regarded as the original, seminal "Space Opera", first published in one of the early issues of Astounding Science Fiction way back in 1939. A match like that he just couldn't resist.
Greg's work now covers a wide variety of "specialties" including Portraiture, Weddings, Sports Action, Conventions (and other live events), Glamour, and Commercial Fashion/Products. (Truth is, in the Denver market, you have to do it all to make a living.) He'd love the opportunity to become YOUR photographer for whatever need you may have.
